The Gym

THE GYM at the Arts Centre is the perfect venue for your next function. This iconic building is located at the heart of the city, the venue offers a stunning interior, flexible catering options, a licensed bar and high tech lighting and sound. The Gym is available for hire for performances, workshops and private functions. The room is ideal for a variety of events from concerts, receptions, reunions, cocktail and dining functions to corporate board meetings, AGMs and staff training sessions. As a working contemporary performance space we can help you create special environments that will set your event apart. Gym is primarily a new contemporary performance space in the Arts Centre of Christchurch. The name reflects the original use of the building as the Gymnasium for Christchurch Boy’s High School.
